4EB’s ‘Thank you’ Radiothon has been a big success with over $86k pledged to the station. 

All donations received will go  towards the technical costs at the station and transmission site which includes license fees, leases, repairs and maintenance for the facilities, equipment and software. This year we have exceeded our set target of $80,000. People have the option of making a tax deductible donation or to go into the prize draw to win one of the prizes listed below. To be eligible for the main Prize Draw all pledges must be paid by 5pm this Friday 8 December 2017.

    The next 4EB Broadcast/Induction Training session will be on Tuesday Night 6 February, 2018 at 6.15pm.If you would like to become involved in one of the language programs on Radio 4EB, become a member first and then take part in one of our monthly introduction Broadcast sessions. This is your first step in getting involved with Radio 4EB activities on-air or for just getting to know new people in your language group. Applications are now open for panel training classes due to begin again on 29 January 2018.  To find out more on Training call 3240 8600      

Human Rights Award for Community Broadcasters

 The National Ethnic and Multicultural Broadcasters Council (NEMBC) on behalf of ethnic community broadcasters around Australia has won the prestigious Human Rights Commission’s Award for it's campaign: Racism. It Stops With Me Award.

The NEMBC is deeply honoured to accept this award and acknowledges its President Dr. Tangikina Steen, the NEMBC board members and staff for their work in supporting ethnic community broadcasters.

Radio Training at Radio 4EB

If you're thinking about a media career Radio 4EB located at Kangaroo Point near the city is a great place to start. This is Brisbane's only full-time multicultural radio station and offers a complete Panel Training course for members on Monday nights and Thursday afternoons. You must be prepared to participate in a language or multicultural program.      4EB also has a number of youth programs to choose from as well including the popular Oxygen Multicultural program broadcast live on Friday nights.

Fair Comment on air every Thursday

The award winning 'Fair Comment' is an independent community radio Current Affairs Interview style program that goes on air every Thursday on 4EB FM 98.1 and Global Digital at 1.30pm. The new program produced by Radio 4EB and 4ZZZ will provide a fresh new focus on topics that are on your mind and will feature 'Fair Comment' from community broadcasters around Australia.

'The Wire' is an independent current affairs news program produced by a consortium of progressive community broadcasters from Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane. The Program is produced in Brisbane on Fridays.

'The Wire' is broadcast on Radio 4EB Monday to Friday at 5.30am and Monday to Thursday at 1.00pm.

Community broadcasting is a great pathway for young people to directly experience what live radio is all about from production to producing or hosting your own program on 4EB.

All youth broadcasters need to be financial members of Radio 4EB and from there we can train you to be a broadcaster and panel operator. Radio Training which is a benefit of your membership.

As a youth broadcaster you will learn new skills, make new friends, learn some life skills as well as learn to communicate with other young people and the wider community.
